I am a Marketo User Champion (2012-16), a Marketo Certified Expert, and a Marketo Certified Analytics Expert. I often recommend Marketo to my clients and those who ask me. Marketo has provided minor gifts under $100 to thank me for my enthusiasm. I have never accepted any gifts to influence anyone or to write posts. Some firms have provided trial access to their services as part of the review process. All opinions are my own.
Referrals to Marketing Agencies: If I am unable to take you on as a client, I may refer you to another agency based on your need, location, and timing. I make my recommendation based on your needs from an initial discussion, so I may not always refer you to the same vendors. I almost always introduce you to at least two agencies. It is up to you to make a final decision based on your needs.
Product reviews are accepted when I believe the product is useful to marketing operations or marketers and I am able to write a “How To” post explaining the steps for making it work live. I do not accept payment for reviews or How Tos. I often put in 10 to 20 hours on each post, so I accept very few requests.
Guest Posting – I do accept guest posts that are in line with the editorial ethos of the site – to help people learn Marketo, Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology, and How to Do Things with Martech. The few who have taken on the challenge know that guest posts are more than puff pieces or repurposed content. Before asking me for a Guest Post, ask “How would I help an audience of enthusiastic Marketing Ops professionals, newbies, and senior leaders understand how to put my (idea/product/service) into action?” Send requests to hello [at ] marketingrockstarguides.com.
